Cruise Ships With Baby Splash Zones

Which cruise ships have a water area for babies and toddlers who are still in swim diapers? This ship-by-ship database focuses specifically on verified baby-only water facilities.

The Rule Parents Need to Know

Children who are in diapers or who are not completely toilet trained generally cannot use ordinary cruise-ship pools and recreational water facilities. The important exception is a baby-only water facility specifically designed and approved for that use.

That distinction matters. A ship can have pools, waterslides and children's water attractions and still have no verified water facility for a child who is not fully toilet trained.

Verified database: This page currently identifies 0 ships across 0 cruise lines in the GetCruiseInfo ship registry with a verified baby-only water facility. We only mark a ship as confirmed when the facility is supported by cruise-line information and/or CDC Vessel Sanitation Program records.

Ships With Verified Baby-Only Water Facilities

Use the cruise-line filter or search by ship or facility name. A listing here means we found affirmative evidence for a facility intended for children in diapers or children who are not completely toilet trained.

Important: This is a confirmed-facility list, not a claim that every ship absent from the table has no suitable facility. Cruise lines can change ships, facilities and policies. Confirm the current rules for your specific sailing before booking.

What Counts as a Baby-Only Water Facility?

The CDC Vessel Sanitation Program has specific standards for recreational water facilities intended solely for children who are in diapers or are not completely toilet trained. Cruise lines must obtain approval to operate this type of facility.

That is why this database does not simply look for terms such as “kids pool,” “splash park” or “waterpark.” Those features do not automatically mean a child wearing a swim diaper is allowed to use them.

Royal Caribbean Baby Splash Facilities

Royal Caribbean states that children in diapers or who are not 100% toilet trained may use designated Baby Splash facilities on ships where those facilities are available. Depending on the ship, the verified facility may be called Baby Splash Zone or Baby Bay.

Check Royal Caribbean's current swim-diaper policy.

Disney Cruise Line Baby Water Areas

CDC records identify approved baby-only recreational water facilities on multiple Disney ships, including facilities such as Nemo's Reef, Dory's Reef and Toy Story Splash Zone. Facility names vary by ship.

How We Built This Database

GetCruiseInfo cross-references the ships in our central cruise-ship registry with affirmative records from cruise-line policies and the CDC Vessel Sanitation Program. We intentionally use a conservative standard: a ship is included only when we have evidence supporting a baby-only water facility for children in diapers or who are not completely toilet trained.

CDC Vessel Sanitation Program variance information explains the approval process and includes baby-only water facilities among the variance categories.

Have a question or see something that needs to be updated? Cruise-ship facilities and policies can change. If you need clarification about a particular ship or believe information in this database needs to be corrected, please contact GetCruiseInfo. We welcome corrections and will review the information against available cruise-line and public-health sources.

Before You Book

If water play is important to your baby or toddler, verify the exact facility and current policy for your ship before paying a deposit. Do not assume that a children's pool, splash pad or waterpark permits swim diapers. Policies and onboard facilities can change, and rules can differ between ordinary pools and specially designed baby-only areas.
