Compare verified eastbound Atlantic crossings and repositioning cruises from the GCI voyage database.
An eastbound Transatlantic cruise crosses the Atlantic generally from North America and the Caribbean toward Europe. Many of these voyages are seasonal repositioning cruises, although dedicated ocean-liner crossings can also travel in this direction.
Eastbound inventory is especially common in the spring, when cruise lines move ships between seasonal deployment regions. Routes vary widely: some emphasize consecutive sea days while others stop in places such as the Azores, Bermuda, Portugal, Spain, Morocco or the Canary Islands.
Use the Find a Long Cruise tool for more detailed filtering, or compare all Transatlantic cruises.
Long Atlantic crossings make the ship itself unusually important. Compare cabin comfort, indoor public spaces, laundry options, Wi-Fi, dining packages and sea-day activities—not just the itinerary.
Travelers should also account for time-zone changes. On an eastbound crossing, ship clocks generally move forward as the voyage crosses time zones. The exact schedule is set onboard and can vary by itinerary.
Weather can change substantially between the beginning and end of a crossing, so packing for layers is usually more practical than planning around one climate.
The GCI voyage database currently contains 27 verified eastbound Transatlantic voyages departing in 2027.
