Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Favorite Part: My favorite part was honestly the experience of taking my very first cruise with my family and discovering what cruising is all about. Since we went in with no expectations, everything felt exciting the atmosphere, exploring the ship, the food, and realizing there was always something happening. Liberty of the Seas ended up being the trip that got me hooked on cruising and made me want to sail again.
What Surprised Them: What surprised me the most was how much there was to do onboard and how quickly cruise life becomes its own routine. Before going, I pictured being stuck on a boat, but there was constantly entertainment, food, activities, and places to explore. I was also surprised by how much room selection matters. Since we booked an inside cabin and didn’t know what to look for, we noticed more ship movement at night and could hear music from nearby venues.
Advice: If it’s your first cruise, spend some time researching your cabin location before booking—it makes a bigger difference than I realized. If you’re sensitive to movement or noise, think about room placement and avoid being too close to entertainment venues. I’d also recommend learning a few cruise packing tips beforehand because I definitely overpacked and unpacked more than necessary. Most importantly, go in open-minded and enjoy the experience—part of the fun of a first cruise is figuring it all out as you go.
