Cabin Experience: I had an interior cabin with a friend. It was enough room for the both of us weren't bumping into each other.

Overall Experience: This was the fourth cruise I had taken with Royal Caribbean and was by far the best. The crew was second to none from the moment we walked on the boat to the moment we walked off we were completely taken care of and met with smiles and amazing attitudes 10 out of 10 experience will most definitely be back.

Favorite Part: My favorite part of the cruise was definitely the entertainment. Out of all the Royal Caribbean ships I’ve sailed on (Oasis of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas), Symphony of the Seas had the strongest entertainment lineup by far. The Aqua Theater show Hiro was absolutely incredible and probably the best show I’ve ever seen at sea. We also loved Dare to Fly and Hairspray—every show felt high quality and memorable.

Outside of the productions, I also loved the unexpected moments, like the piano player who got guests singing along and created such a fun atmosphere. Combined with the amazing service from the crew, those experiences made the cruise feel really special.

What Surprised Them: What surprised me the most was just how exceptional the service was even on a completely sold-out sailing. I expected crowds and longer waits, but the crew consistently made us feel taken care of.

One moment that really stood out was embarkation day when we realized we had Anytime Dining and were facing a very long wait with two small children. We spoke to the dining team, and they quickly found a solution and gave us a 5:00 PM dining time, which made the rest of the cruise so much easier.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the entertainment. I expected it to be good, but Symphony of the Seas completely exceeded expectations. The Aqua Theater show Hiro, Dare to Fly, and Hairspray felt like experiences you’d expect to pay extra for on land. Even little touches like the piano player creating a singalong atmosphere made the ship feel special.

Advice: My advice for future cruisers would be to book shows early, especially on a popular or sold-out sailing, because the entertainment on Symphony of the Seas is absolutely worth planning around. Don’t miss the Aqua Theater show Hiro—it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip.

If you’re traveling with kids or prefer a calmer experience, I’d also recommend sailing during a less peak season if your schedule allows. Our cruise was sold out, and while we still had an amazing time, you could definitely feel the crowds.

Also, don’t be afraid to ask the crew for help if something isn’t working for your family. We had an issue with dining when we boarded, and the staff fixed it quickly and made the experience so much better. The crew really went above and beyond throughout the trip.

And finally: try at least one specialty dining experience on day 1, they have a special 50% off. Wonderland on embarkation day was a standout and felt like a really fun way to start the vacation.
